Yoga Nidra
with Patricia Letendre
Thursday May 23 at 7:30pm @ Mile End

Yoga Nidra is the equivalent of lucid sleep. It is a traditional technique for profound relaxation, letting the different “bodies” or Koshas relax. The benefits can be felt on the physical, energetic and emotional bodies. By using rotation exercices of the spirit inside the body, breathing techniques as well as visualization techniques, it induces a profound relaxation state.

Practiced laying down, it gives a conscious access to the unconscious so we can install a personal resolution, a “Sankalpa” that allows it to get closer to its aspirations. Yoga Nidra allows us to widen our consciousness and to develop our potential in latency by cultivating the zones of our brain that are generally unused. It reeducates sleep and represents a bridge to awakening.

Included in membership, introduction month, April Challenge promotion and card of classes.

Dharma Talk “Feed your head without starving your heart”
with Erik Giasson
Thursday May 30 at 7:30pm @ Mile End

Do you ever lack motivation at work, want to back down in front of challenges or straight out want to change your life? Even though it is not easy to talk about them, these feelings are part of us everyday. Why? Probably because we have not yet found our “mission”, the one that will fulfill our mind as well as our heart and will allow us to find a balance on a personal and professional level. With six questions, get closer to your mission and discover what has stopped you from fulfilling it with success. A stimulating and necessary reflexion on choices, beliefs and fears that define us.

Dharma Talk “Mourning and Identity”
with Rose-Aimée Morin
Thursday June 13 at 7:30pm @ Mile End

Rose-Aimée Automne T. Morin lost her father when she was sixteen. Before dying from cancer, he had given himself a mission: to make her daughter the woman he considered perfect. An assertive, selfish, cultivated, unsettling feminist. The author now understands that she was imposed a personality as a matter of urgency and, in the intimate essay Ton absence m’appartient, she attempts to grasp the legacy of her frantic childhood. During this evening, she invites you to discuss what role grief, loss and effervescence played in the development of your identity. She also shares different tools she found in her journey to fill the absence of light. Or just some softness…

Rose-Aimée Automne T. Morin’s name is as complex as her affective journey. Her first crush was Jacques Parizeau, quickly followed by Gilles Latulippe. Since she always wanted to get closer to men, she opted for a researcher job right after she graduated from UQAM in 2011. In 2015, she became chief editor of URBANIA magazine, a position she kept for four years. Today, she is a writer and host for this media company (Sans filtre and Gros plan are series she worked on), as well as a TV and radio columnist. We often hear her say relevant and/or embarrassing things in various shows, such as On dira ce qu’on voudra (ICI Première), Esprit critique (ICI Artv), ALT and Code F (Vrak). Her very first book, Ton absence m’appartient, got published in February by Éditions Stanké. For more information, there is Google and its old embarrassing Facebook pictures.

Women circle
with Chloe Robertson
Thursday June 6 at 7:30pm @ Mile End

Sisterhood. This unique bond between women brings support and comfort in a very particular way. Women’s circles are a sacred, intimate and safe space, where we can surrender to being seen as we really are. This is done with respect and care, for ourselves and for each other.

Come with the part of you that is alive, come with your authentic self, without obligations and with the choice of saying yes or no to everything that is suggested.
